Inverness : Inverness Film Fans, Eden Court Theatre |
(6 of 8) |
||
Inverness Film Fans (InFiFa) is an independent group set up in 2003 by local film lovers who wanted to discover and share quality films from around the world with adult audiences in Inverness and the surrounding area. We now work in partnership with Eden Court Cinema where we meet for fortnightly screenings and informal post-film discussions. You can join us, free, via the menu on the homepage of our website. Members receive regular updates on forthcoming screenings and events, get InFiFa member's discount at the Eden Court box office for our presentations and can also borrow films (DVDs) for home viewing from our Member's library. When you join, your welcome letter will tell you how to do this. InFiFa is run by a voluntary committee, known as the Programme Group, which meets on a monthly basis to programme regular screenings, prepare film notes, maintain our website and organise special events. If you have some time to spare and would like to get involved please contact us via the email link on our InFiFa site or come and have a chat with us at the next screening

Nairn : Nairn Art Society, The Laing Hall |
(7 of 8) |

Awaken the artist within you and explore hidden talents. Our doors are open to anyone who loves painting, drawing and all things arty. The society owns its own art studio situated in Laing Hall. Although many members paint at home, the structured workshops and daily sessions offer support and guidance from fellow peers. Painting and drawing in all mediums and styles is undertaken and the studio provides a friendly atmosphere to all who create their artwork within. The hall is only used by our society which helps to keep it a creative haven. We currently have 70 members ranging from 15 to fabulous! If you are new, you are welcome to have a few taster sessions to decide if its something you would enjoy. Equipment,brushes, canvases etc. are available to use and a wide selection of books for reference, to borrow and to buy.
