Inverness Canoe Club was formed in 1996 and now has over 250 members paddling at all levels - from beginners to the very experienced. We are active in most recreational areas of paddlesport including sea, white water and open canoe and we hope you will find a place in the club that will suit your particular interests. Pool sessions are held on Friday nights during the winter months in the Inverness Aquadome. An introductory course, run in the spring, allows beginners to gain confidence in the pool, before progressing outside onto the Caledonian Canal at the Muirtown Basin and then onto the river and the sea. A wide range of canoes and kayaks available for hire to members and a number of qualified coaches cover all paddling disciplines.

Inverness Orienteering Club is the local club for the sport of orienteering in the Inverness area and much of highland Scotland. Orienteering clubs are mostly known by their abbreviations so we are mostly known as INVOC. INVOC holds a range of orienteering events and activities each year, and members participate in orienteering events large and small both locally and further afield. We also put on coaching activities and some social gatherings, and have club teams taking part in various team competitions.

The club has an active coastal rowing group. We regularly row our club built St Ayles skiffs, Chanonry Maid and Silver Darling, from the clubhouse at Fortrose Harbour. We also attend regattas and a variety of social rowing occasions. With four oars and a Cox there are great opportunities for all ages to keep fit and active all year round. We welcome rowers of all ages from all over the Highlands. You don't need to be super fit or able to get out on the water with us. Most of our activity is social rowing at a pace and level to suit those going out.

A group of 'lapsed' amateur musicians based around the Inverness/ Moray Firth area, who enjoyed playing music earlier in life (usually at school) and have decided to dust off their instruments and get playing again. As the name suggests, our attitude to music-making is very relaxed and always about having a laugh! No talent needed - just enthusiasm and a sense of humour!! We're looking for new members in all our sections!

Nairn Sailing Club is a friendly and informal club based on the harbour front in Nairn. We have a popular cruiser section offering racing and social cruises throughout the year. We are a small but friendly club with around 20 members and have layouts in, N, 00, & 0 Gauge, which are available to run your own stock on, or help other members. New members can question & learn various skills from existing members. We will be introducing workshops once a month, where a different aspect of modelling will be discussed, explained and demonstrated. We also have a small junior section. Come and join our Club, either as a full member, or as a friend for those unable to attend club nights regularly due to distance etc.
