Highland Disabled Ramblers is a small charity run by volunteers, to enable people with mobility problems to access the countryside in a safe and companionable way.

We organise a programme of leisurely monthly rambles of 3 to 4 miles leaving from different places locally on different days of the week, within a radius of 40 miles of Inverness. (Please click on the link to go to our website for the list of rambles for this year and the days of the week on which the rambles take place.)

Members book scooters in advance, which we transport to the start of each ramble, but they must make their own way to the start. Volunteers ensure the safety of members and provide companionship along the way.

Membership is open to anyone over 18 years. Anyone requiring assistance needs to bring a family member, friend or carer as we do not have qualified carers.

Volunteer van drivers and walking companions are most welcome (references reqd.).

Highland Dogblog is a community based network of people with a shared love of dogs and the Highlands.

The Dogblog network functions both online and in real life. In real life Dogbloggers use the online forums to organise themselves and get together for a variety of different activities such as pack walks and play dates, community litter picks, fund raising projects, looking for lost dogs and other dog centric events of all kinds. There is also a strong ethos in the group of members supporting each other and this takes different forms across the different groups.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

To join Dogblog just “like” the main page and as soon as you’re ready to post a pic of your dogs and tell us their names and where you’re based. Yep, that’s it, now you’re a “member”

To keep up with ALL the local craic, pack walks, play dates and events, join HDB Paw Pals on facebook for full information.
