Moderate health walks – up to an hour in duration. Beginning with a warm up, moving on to a brisker pace (but still enjoying a chat as we walk!), and then to a slow down before stopping for any socialising that is on offer that day!

Healthy walks to enable people in the Highlands to achieve better physical health, improve mental wellbeing, attain a healthy weight and encourage interaction by socialising with others while enjoying the beautiful natural environment we have in the Highlands.

Highlands Astronomical Society is where amateur astonomers and others with an interest in astronomy share their passion for the stars, planets and all else related.

There is something for everyone, from talks to observation sessions, suitable for all - from absolute beginners to the more advanced observer. Most of our activities take place in and around Culloden, where we meet every month and where we have our own Observatory

On two Friday evenings each month (from Sep-Mar), the Observatory will be open to the general public. Visitors are welcome to come and join us for an evening under the stars, where we can show you some of the wonders of the universe!

   We meet monthly, on the first Tuesday of each month (second Tuesday January) from 19:15 (for 19:30)

Inverness Choral Society is the largest choir in the Highlands of Scotland and draws singers from a wide area around Inverness.

New members are best advised to join at the beginning of a session (i.e. January or August).

We especially welcome sopranos and tenors (male or female).

The Lunch Club is open to anyone who is aged over 50 years.

Ballroom & Latin – Class for Complete Beginners. You will gradually learn short, straightforward routines in Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, and Rumba, and at a later date we will move onto Samba, Paso Doble and Viennese Waltz. If you are unable to bring a partner then it is fine to come along on your own. Classes are friendly, welcoming and enjoyable and a great way to exercise and meet new friends.

Ballroom & Latin Improvers Class for those with experience. Suitable for the regular dancer and for those who wish to do Medal Tests

Ballroom & Latin – Intermediate Class where we try out new ideas from week to week. It pushes you a little bit further and adds to your experience

TangoNess is a community dance group promoting Argentine tango in the Highlands.

We arrange lessons, workshops, practicas and milongas.

Foundation Classes -- Thursdays, 7.15pm to 8.15pm

Technique and Connection Classes -- Thursdays, 8.20pm to 9.20pm

Practicas -- Thursdays, 9.20pm to 10.15pm

Booking for any of the lessons is not essential
